El Nino Pushing Globe to Record Temps in 2007

The British Meteorological Office is reporting that the current El Nino oceanic warming trend will make 2007 yet another record breaker for global average temperature. Historically, over the previous seven years, the Met Office forecast of annual global temperature has proved accurate within just just 0.06 °C.

Great points..I hope the majority of Canadians recognize the PR stunt that this cabinet shuffle was. It's sad to see what has happened to Stanley Park..
but our environment minister should be surveying the damage done by the mountain pine beetle in the interior.
If Harper took global warming seriously he would be mobilizing immediate action rather than trying to green up the conservative image.

The globe is heating up BIG TIME! I live in the U.S. and our winter has seemed more like fall. Something is definitely going on and I applaud you for speaking out in relation to it.

'the warming of the globe is nothing but a precession [the orientation of the tilt of the earth’s axis changing over time], which is on a 22,000 year cycle. this causes the seasons to slowly shift through the year. 11,000 years ago the northern hemisphere was tilted toward the sun in december rather than in june. winter and summer were reversed. they will have switched again 11,000 years from now'.

There is only one way the attitude of people will change - if and when
some clever guy or girl comes up with a simple but lucrative "tipping point" and just like a flock of sheep, all will follow.

Hm, just wonderful... I've bookmarked your blog, just to let you know. Your posts are thoughtful, insightful, and non-bias in their posts.

I know I should refrain from saying so, but 'guy mccool', I would agree with you, except for one thing.
The rate at which this climate change is happening is too fast for what you propose. Carbon emissions and human impact on our planet has warmed our atmosphere, and is continuing to do so.

Definitely agree with lyze.

I'd like to hope that global warming will be solved, but I think it's like the fact that poor people will exist in every political government (not ideally though). There will always be a lower class until humans are gone. Same with global warming. We've taken too much advantage of the free resources the world has offered it (humans including) that we're too far deep into the hole to come out.
