Whale Dies from "Old Age"

The trouble with satire is that sometimes it can be just too close to the truth.

Australian readers will be well familiar with Clarke and Dawe. For the rest of us, here's what may be a first look at their particular brand of humour via "John Howard's" view of seismic testing and whales.

Perfectly "reasonable"! How could anyone doubt it?

excellent.
what isn't funny is Japan's plan to take 50 humpbacks this season. This is an ethical issue. There's no benefit to anyone to killing these whales. we don't need their meat. A former Australian whaler told me that the humpback population collapsed in 1963. One year the horizon was filled with whales, the next year a handful. we don't want this to happen again.
